SERVICES
QA Ship provides three service lines, from one-off consulting engagements to full technical management. All services are available worldwide, for vessels under any flag. Every engagement starts the same way: you describe the task, we reply with a clear scope and a fixed pricing model — no hidden fees, no lock-in.

Who it’s for
Owners and financial owners (banks, funds) of bulk carriers and general cargo ships who want their asset maintained properly, their budget respected, and their reporting honest.
How it works
- Vessel review: technical inspection and takeover audit of the vessel and its records.
- Budget and plan: agreed annual budget, maintenance plan, and reporting format.
- Management: day-to-day technical operation with monthly owner reports and immediate escalation of anything material.
Pricing
Fixed monthly management fee per vessel, typically €7,000–12,000 depending on vessel age, type, and trading pattern. All vessel operating costs are paid from segregated owner funds at documented cost — the management fee is our only income from your vessel.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Which vessel types do you manage? A: All vessel types are serviced. The deepest in-house track record is with bulk carriers and general cargo ships, and the associated expert network covers other types — from tankers to specialized tonnage — where required.
Q: Do you hold a Document of Compliance (DOC)? A: The DOC is arranged per client flag, with an interim DOC obtained on the first contract for that flag — a standard route for management takeovers. This keeps QA Ship genuinely flag-neutral.
Q: How do we know where our money goes? A: Owner funds are held in segregated accounts, all invoices are available to you, and the monthly report shows budget versus actual line by line. Ask us for a sample monthly owner’s report.
Q: Is QA Ship large enough to manage my vessel? A: QA Ship is deliberately compact — and that is the point. Your vessel is managed at principal level, supported by a vetted network of associated superintendents and surveyors engaged where geography or workload requires. You get the reach of a larger organization with none of the anonymity: in a fleet of three hundred you are a line in a spreadsheet; here you are the fleet.
